Early this morning across the Lone Star state, clear skies dominated 
all but the panhandle, and parts of the caprock northwest of Lubbock 
where skies were mostly cloudy. In that part of the panhandle, 
between Lubbock and Amarillo, showers and a few thunderstorms were 
moving slowly east.  Temperatures ranged from 61 in Marfa, to 84 at 
Palacios. Winds across the state were light and variable at 10 mph 
or less, except within the thunderstorms where winds were variable 
up to 20 mph. 
Now, for your forecast summary for West Central Texas. Look for 
partly cloudy skies today, with highs mainly in the upper 90s. Winds 
will be from the south to southeast at 5 to 15 mph. For tonight, 
there is a chance for showers and thunderstorms mainly north of the 
Interstate 20 corridor. Otherwise, skies will be partly cloudy, and 
lows will be mainly in the lower to mid 70s.
