High pressure will move offshore today, as weak low pressure 
tracks to the Mid Atlantic coast. This low will strengthen as it
moves NE passing S of Long Island this evening. Light snow is
expected to overspread the area during the mid to late afternoon
hours and continue through the evening with amounts ranging 
between 1 and 3 inches. The highest amounts are expected east of 
NYC. High temperatures today will only range from mid 20s inland 
to lower 30s at the coast. Skies will clear overnight as the low
departs. Lows will generally be into the 20s, upper teens well 
High pressure will then build back across the region for the 
weekend, allowing temperatures to begin to moderate. Highs on 
Saturday will rise into the 30s with gusty westerly winds.
