Weather Summary for Eastern Nebraska and Southwest Iowa
National Weather Service Omaha/Valley NE
910 PM CST Sun Dec 10 2017
A low pressure system moving into the Northern Plains this evening
will drive a strong cold front through the region tonight and
Monday. That cold front is expected to reach the Nebraska and South
Dakota border at sunrise Monday, then race south into southern
Kansas and southern Missouri by late afternoon. Ahead of the front,
relatively mild temperatures are forecast overnight. But behind the
front, strong north winds will begin to drive temperatures downward
Monday afternoon. Some rain and snow mix may spread south into
northern Iowa and northeast Nebraska during the afternoon. Little in
the way of accumulating snows are forecast.
Low temperatures in the 20s and 30s are expected tonight. Highs on
Monday will range from the 30s in eastern South Dakota and northern
Iowa, to the upper 40s in southern Nebraska and Iowa.
