Showers and a few thunderstorms continued last night across portions
of southern Kentucky to the south of the stalled frontal boundary.
Rain totals for the 24 hour period ending this morning varied
greatly from little to no rain in the north to up to 1 inch along
the Tennessee border in the south. Lows last night were mostly in
the mid 60s to low 70s. There was some sunshine into the afternoon
hours of today which boosted early afternoon temperatures into the
lower 80s. There were also a few showers and thunderstorms mainly
across the Bluegrass region of the state.
A cold front will move through the state overnight. This will
provide another chance of showers and thunderstorms overnight. Lows
by daybreak will fall back into the upper 60s. Tuesday the cold
front will move south of the state ushering in less humid air into
the region. The remainder of the work week will be unseasonably
pleasant with highs in the upper 70s to around 80 and lows in the
upper 50s.
