.DISCUSSION...
A passing cold front is producing numerous showers across
portions of acadiana this morning. Activity is more isolated
across southeast Texas and southwest Louisiana. This precipitation
will gradually come to an end by this afternoon as the front
pushes off into the gulf. Breezy north winds will prevail for much
of the day before diminishing this evening as high pressure settles
over the region.
The high quickly shifts east of the area Saturday turning winds out
of the southeast. An upper trough will move over the region Sunday
producing widespread showers and thunderstorms. A second trough
quickly approaches Monday keeping rain chances elevated for the early
part of the week.
