517 PM CST Sun Dec 10 2017
A warmer afternoon was felt across much of the state of Iowa today,
especially in south central and southwest portions of the state where
highs topped out in the mid to upper 40s. Further north and east
temperatures were cooler with highs generally in the 30s. Another
front will cross through the state tomorrow. Blustery northwest winds
and a few flurries are possible behind the front. The winds may gust
up close to 40 mph at times.
Quiet weather will persist through much of the weak with little change
expected to the current weather pattern. Multiple frontal passages
will keep winds gusty at times, but no surges of Arctic air are in
sight as highs hover between the 30s and 40s. Some light snow is
possible over the region by the weekend, but most of the state will
likely remain dry through the next 7 days.
