RUC

(Rapid Update Cycle)

The RUC model is run at 1:18 after UTC hours with a multiple of 3, (e.g. 00Z, 03Z, 18Z) and at 1:01 on all other hours. For example, the 12:00 UTC run will be posted at 1:18 UTC, whereas the 1:00 UTC run will be posted at 2:01UTC. All UTC hours with a multple of 3 have forecasts for 1,2,3,6,9 and 12 hours into the future. On all other hours, only 1,2, and 3 hours into the future are available.
