Overnight: mostly cloudy, low in the lower 40s. Sunday: partly cloudy, high near 70, wind northeast 5-10 m.p.h. Sunday night: partly cloudy, low in the mid 40s. Monday: increasing cloudiness, chance for showers and thunderstorms, high in the lower 70s, wind south 5-10 m.p.h.
Discussion
Cool high pressure centered north of the Great Lakes is keeping the temperature below normal. Clouds that are the remnants of a Mesoscale Convective System will cover the southwestern half of Ohio and keep the temperature several degrees warmer on Saturday night. The air mass is slowly warming and the temperature will creep up a few degrees on Sunday and Monday. As the high pressure system moves to our east early next week, a warm front will approach from our west. Moist air running over the retreating cooler air will give us a chance for showers and thunderstorms on Monday.
